Model "Augusta"
The Augusta is quite simply the finest over-and under shotgun in the AYA range. Unlike the Model Nº 37, which features a cross-bolt locking mechanism, the Augusta is fitted with two under-barrel lugs, allowing the upper part of the action to be much more streamlined, with elegant curves where the barrels join the face. Although high sided, the action is actually very slim, allowing the gun to weigh and balance more closely to a classic English weight than the heavy, wide continental actions which proliferate. The true sidelocks feature a concealed hand detachable key, giving them an unencumbered surface for the engraver to give full expression to his artistry. It is engraved with deep relief engraving as standard, with other patterns to order.
